  Hello, let me start by saying the people at the Evans-Brown Mortuaries located in Lake Elsinore, CA are fake about caring for the deceased. When my dad had past away Hospice care contacted the local mortuary, which was Evans brown. Upon arriving to my parents home I spoke with my mom and asked who was going to pick up my dad's body. She explained that Hospice care had scheduled Evans brown, I quickly contacted Hospice to make arrangements for Queen of Heaven Mortuary to pick up my dad. That is where my parents had bought their burial plots. Hospice were in the process of making the changes I had requested, when I was contacted by the GM of Evans brown. He gave a BS story of how they're less inexpensive than Queen of Heaven and there facility is near my parents home. Which would be easier on us during this process, the next day we met with the GM of Evans Brown. When we arrived at their location in all honestly it is a DUMP; so we still went through with the meeting. He gave us a big whole speech on if we where not satisfied with they're pricing or service area, we can still make other arrangements with Queen of Heaven. He stated that we would only be charged for the weekend pick up fee. So after leaving Evans Brown I contacted Queen of Heaven and scheduled a meeting with their mortuary staff also. Next day we arrived at Queen of Heaven in Rowland Hts. which was a beautiful setting area and felt peaceful. When our meeting finished we felt cared for with less stress from when we first started. They really make you feel like family is taking care of you. During our meeting they explained to us pricing (which let me tell you, was much cheaper) and a situation that may occur during the transfer of my dad's body. So when Queen Of Heaven got in contact with Evans Brown to our surprise they're were hidden charges (a $95.00 fee turned into a $860.00 fee) for the release of my dad's body. And I quote Evans Brown would not release the body until paid for their services. My mom was hurt and very upset due to the fact the GM sat there in front of us with his whole BULL-CRAP story of how caring they are. All we can do is chalk this up to a lesson learned and advise people that they're better choices than Evans Brown and cheaper too. So I guess the obvious choice is that we picked Queen of Heaven for my dad's funeral services. I just wanted to take this opportunity to warn people that you can make a WAY MUCH NICER choice than Evans Brown for a loved ones final farewell.
